Shylo Home Healthcare has been serving the North Shore since 1980 and due to popular demand, in 2016 we added driving services to transport our clients on outings and to appointments.

Shylo doesn’t just drive you to your appointments, we will come inside and speak to the doctor (if you wish), pick-up prescriptions at the pharmacy, do some grocery shopping, take you home, unpack the groceries, and make you supper. Or call us and we’ll drive you anywhere else you’d like to go!

Margot Ware Shylo Healthcare

Owner of Shylo Home Care for 25+ years!

I am Margot Ware, RN BScN, GNC (c), the present Director/Owner of Shylo Home Healthcare. I initially joined the Home Healthcare company as a Companion in 1986.

Impressed by both Betty and Linda's home nursing and palliative care of my terminally ill mother and later my aged grandfather, I felt that I literally stumbled into my vocation through their wonderful example.

I started my educational journey towards a Registered Nursing degree while continuing to work as a Home Healthcare Aide at Shylo. Ten years later, when Betty and Linda decided to retire, I took over the company that she'd grown to love.

What Is the Complimentary, No-Obligation, In-Home Assessment?

We’ll come to your home to assess your needs and discuss care options with you. With a personalized care plan and some support from qualified caregivers, most seniors can stay in their own homes if they wish. Even if you choose not to use our services, you will be better informed about which services are available for you.

Are Home Care Services Available 24 Hours A Day?

Yes, we design your individual care plan together based on your specific needs and we can adjust, as your care needs change. We can provide care as needed from 4 – 24 hours a day or Live-in Care.

Is Homecare a Cost-Effective Alternative to Institutional Care?

Yes, Home Care is an affordable option. Most people would prefer to remain in their own home, and we help make this dream a reality. One of the most common misconceptions about private nursing is that it’s a luxury reserved for the wealthy as many people cannot afford ongoing 24-hour care, but most of our clients only need a few hours of support a day, some only require support a few times a week or month.
